Writing Essays With Q&A in Your Writing Education

Writing Essays With Q&A in Your Writing EducationWhile Q and A's are useful tools in a writing education, they can also be dangerous, if used improperly or in the wrong context. That is why the Q and A method in English Literature (Q&A) are used sparingly and is generally only used as a back-up question to your main essay question. Another good example of an example essay question would be: 'What should you expect to learn from this college-level course?' So, how should you write an essay question with a q&a in your final draft?First, think about the main topic of your essay in English Literature (so, not English composition) and decide what the basic question will be. Then, think about what your background knowledge is in English Literature (so, not just college level, but college-level).Once you know the basic question, think about which questions you want to ask about yourself, your background in English Literature, and the subject matter that your paper will cover. Then you can s tart brainstorming for essay topic questions that match these topics.Your title should help to make the major points of your essay easier to remember, and your introduction should highlight the main point of your essay. If you're doing a first draft, that is your introduction; but, if you're doing a post-editing draft, then that is where you will end up with your essay title and introduction.Themes are another way to tie the essay topic into the question (and answer) that you've prepared. For example, you might choose to include questions about your graduate work or that you have been teaching. Finally, consider including the proper format for your Q&A. Most importantly, make sure that it uses appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling (i.e., use proper word usage). There are many good examples of Q&A (and lots of other essays) in the books in your college library. After all, your professor would be happy to give you copies of their essay samples, so why not use them in your futur e essays?Although the Q&A in your writing class should be a helpful tool, it is ultimately up to you to come up with the right questions to ask. But, don't forget, there is no substitute for good English Literature essays and a good Q&A sample to use in your final draft.
